Wat Ounalom

Well the day started with a visit to a local temple, yes I still want more. I didn’t have big expectations for the day, but it turned out to be a goodie.

“The wat is the headquarters of Cambodian Buddhism. It was founded in 1443 and comprises 44 structures. It received a battering during the Pol Pot era, but today the wat has come back to life. The head of the country’s Buddhist brotherhood lives here, along with a large number of monks.”

One of the Stupas

I expected that to be pretty much it for the day as well as a trip to the Royal palace. However, never look a Tuk Tuk driver in the eye!!  Once you do you’ll never get away!.Next minute I was signed up and we were heading out of the city heading toward a Silver smith village and quelle surprise a Temple!
