Pak Ou Caves

The next day I set of to Pak Ou caves 25km upstream of the Mekong from Luang Prabang and at he mouth of the Nam ou. The caves are set into the limestone cliffs and house hundreds of donated Bhudda statues taking many different positions, including meditation, teaching, peace, rain, and reclining (nirvana).  They look stunning in their sheer volume.
