Wat Rong Khun…..The white temple

Chiang Rai was a nice surprise as I entered Thailand. Its like stepping back into the modern world a little bit coming from Laos, I’m not sure how I feel about that yet!

I hired a moped for the first two days as everything to visit was spread out. First stop was the amazing Wat Rong Kun temple, typically know as the White temple. The vision of artist turned architect, Chalermchai Kositpipat. The impression is of a typical Buddhist temple, with a more contemporary feel and contemporary statues. It’s quite stunning sitting within the deep blue skies, as you look deeper the vision becomes slightly more macabre. Take a look…..
